Manitoba Floatplanes Pilots Association

Unread postby gear » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:53 pm

Hello all. I recently attended a seminar put on for float pilots on stopping (or more realistically slowing) the spread of aquatic invasive species. For more info on this, see my other post in this section.

From the 40 or so float plane pilots that attended, 75% of the people were in favor of the creating of an association to provide a more unified voice for seaplane pilots in our province. The association will also help in distribution of information for topics like invasive species, etc. there will also be a social aspect - some fly ins, etc. I, along with a few other volunteers, are just working on some details however it appears this association will be reality early next year and will be called the Manitoba Floatplane Pilots Association.

For those interested, PM me and I will add your contact information to my list and will keep you posted as this develops.
