Great pictures as always Glenn.

I will call you later to tell you what is going on. I talked to the 7DC guy etc.

Over on the Aeronca site Red (neck) Baron (that is how he lists his name, not me), just flew his Champ on Skis for the first time. Not much ski activity on that site (there probably would be if it was a Piper site :yessir: ) but I told him to sign up over here.

Glenn, you sure stretch your luck. The ceiling over Stillwater couldn't have been more than 1700 MSL. For those who haven't been there, the ground is about 1400 MSL at the LOW points.

I saw you run through that old landing strip on the north side of the lake. Is that used by anyone? That old cub must really move to cover all that territory in 10 minutes 49 seconds. :flying:

What a day, if we had put an order into the weatherman we couldn't have done any better. Tim was having menstrual pains so he didn't come along.
Meade, Tom, Joe, David, Ed and Lo and I had a great day. Ralph and Ray were with us at the saphouse but left after that.

So we flew back to my place so that Tom and I could fuel up before heading north

Then North to Long Lake

The Champ and I went to Stillwater and the rest of the crew headed back to NH

Stopped at a friends camp on the way home

Great day, thanks guy's

Looks like a great time Glenn. You should give up the glass business and start doing travelogs. Couple, what you love, with what you do really well and a money making business.

I was fueling up this morning and heard an airplane up high and jumped on the handheld and it was CCJoe riding a tailwind North to Big Moose Lake for the races. 2 SC and I headed North and stopped at Toms place so I could show it to the crew. We left there and headed up to Big Moose to have lunch with Joe. The SC headed home and I later ran into Joe again so we headed East to the Sport Island Pub. Nice day 50F, flew over and hour with the door open on skis.

Nice video Tom. I don't know how much more land that Glenn owns there, but maybe we could have a cutting and stump pulling party this year and add a few hundred feet.

Glenn,

Saw that Wagner built a Twin Cub, buy using a J-3 tied to a PA-11. Since you have one of each, that would be a great project for next winter and a few hundred more feet could help.

Bob the trees used to go to the end of the runway, over the last 15 years I have cut down a couple hundred of them. What you see is the new and improved version. It works fine, Tom only used half of it and it was his first time.

Just put your Champ on auto pilot, it's done it a couple hundred time, twice on floats.

Went back home and picked up the spousal unit, she does Letterboxing ( like geocaching ) get clues on internet and go hunting. This island was the spot so I dropped her off and went flying while she was hunting.

Went back out late afternoon, flew around over an hour with the door open

Hoping for one more weekend but that big ball in the sky is trying to ruin it.
