I'm still floating but it's looking good for some ski time. I want to fly skis and floats on the same day.

Old Forge this AM

Nice shot as always Glenn. They had been forecasting snow for Cooperstown for yesterday. Looks like you will have lots of ski fun this season if the forecasters are right. Where is Old Forge?

Glenn, Give Bob a break. Remember, you're talking to a down-stater. They get lost as soon as they cross the Tapanzee into the wilderness of up-state. :horsy:

Tim the Tappenzee goes East and West, From where I live, if I were to cross it I would be heading to the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey unless I stayed on the New York State Thruway where it hooks North. My problem is I do not know where some of these places are so looking at their Web Cams does not necessarily do much good for me. In any case, I take Glenn's point as if I know where I am looking, it is nice to see what is actually happening at any given time. I do use web cams when looking at ski resorts, so I should get more educated on these.

OK I'll hold your hand and help you, what do they say about old dogs and new...............................

http://www.oldforge.net/mccauleytop/index.html OLD FORGE NY

http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/cam/ MY WASHINGTON, big mt in NH

http://www.hazecam.net/camsite.aspx?site=burlington BURLINGTON VT north end of lake champlain

http://www.webcambiglook.com/fullscreen ... gefull.htm LAKE GEORGE NY big lake up by island bobs

Everyone of these will help you go north. STOP calling flight service and look at the webcams more.

And the other 10,000 webcams that you can find along any route in 10 seconds on google or your smart even while flying. Even a flip phone

Be careful to check timestamps on any you use, some go off line, but not dark.

One for your area Bob.
