Tried to go to the sap house on Sun but our landing spot had been wind beaten and the thin spots were melted. I tried to land on the 300' left but the wind was rockin and rolling and I couldn't get it stopped in the first 100' so didn't land

Must be time to get the floats ready. It was high 50s on the mountain in Utah skiing last week. Lots of slush. Helped slow you down though on the steep spots.

Looks like you might have a few more days left on the skis.

Enjoy and keep posting great shots as always.

Nice pics! When I get home I am going to have to pull the skis off the ole Avid.. Dismal year for flying this winter with only 10 hrs on skis logged and none of it just off playing and having fun. I got to do one 3 flight resupply mission to the lodge and that was it. 48+ temps the last few days have taken care of the little snow we had and I hope it doesnt melt the ice too quick on the lake I have the plane parked on !

Going to be around zero tomorrow morning then warm up to 25-30F. Sunny and light winds. So far 5 of us are playing hooky on Tuesday and heading North. Should be great. I need 1.4 hrs to get my 40+ hr ski fix for the year.

I guess it's safe to put the skis up in the rafters. Flew till 8:35 last evening with the door open smelling the good earth come back to life. Was still 70F while hedge hopping the farm fields just above the shaggy green grass a few feet below.

Can't really call this a ski thread. I could have been on wheels all weekend and it would have been a lot smoother. NYC got 26" and we got nothing but sunshine.

Thanks for posting great pictures as always Glenn. There was probably way too much snow at Warwick for you to drop in. Does someone check ice levels up there and post reports?

Look forward to a lot more nice ski pictures during this winter. Maybe we are going to get a bunch of late snow this year.

Nice Pictures as always Glenn.

I was up at Island Bob's last weekend and the runway was "X"ed out, look like from mud and landed at Argyle and it was kind of muddy there. It is suppose to be in the 70s here this week.

You should have come with us, even 5" tires could have landed almost everywhere in the Adirondacks

One of these days I am going to spend some quality float time again upstate and try for some winter operations. If the House passes the Pilots Bill of Rights, I will partner with Don on his Sedan. Already worked it out.

What to do? Going to be 60F today and the ice up North is still good. Damn, its Tuesday and I got to work, WTH. So........... get in early, get some work done so Amish can pick it up at 3pm. Drive 20 miles home at 10:45am. Jump in Cub and fly 50 miles North to Honnandaga Lk. Met up with Dan and Tom, make fire, cook some dogs, jump back in Cub and fly 50 miles South, drive 20 miles back to work by 2pm. Life is Good
