I guess I was there about Noon or so. And cub was much paler yellow than yours. Thanks for the aerial of the Sap house! I'll get over and check it out one of these days!

Yes now Gene's but was My Old one.

We will see what this season brings. If the PBR is passed, then I will be a part owner in Don's Sedan.

Glenn, I appreciate both your friendship and your concern and as you know I have a long list of excuses, but I am flying. In the past two weeks I put in about 15 hours. Today it was practice ILSs at Sullivan County as well as holds, for instrument recurrency. With the exception of 1/2 of Greenwood Lake, there is no where in this area to fly straight floats and it is even worse on Long Island. As you know I work weekends as I sell real estate. This means that I would again keep a plane at Island Bobs or maybe John's place on the Esopus. In either case, it is 1 1/2 hours drive to Warwick for me from Manhattan and then an hour and a half to Island Bob's by plane or about 3.5 hours if I just drive it. Longer if I drive from Sag Harbor or Fly from East Hampton. With a partner (or two) I can justify the expense compared to the little amount of time that I can get to an upstate float plane. I have talked to Frank Reiss and I will get some float plane time in this season even if it is just with him and his 172 XP. For the few hours I can fly floats, $210 per hour will be less than the cost to own on my own. 7 different guys who all claimed to be interested in a partnership all backed out over the last few years. I should have never sold out my share to Gene, though as nice a guy as he is, where he wanted to keep the plane made no sense to me. In any case, I will get some float time in this season, but probably none on a weekend. Hope to see you soon in Cooperstown or Upstate. I am planning on doing both Speculator (on wheels) and the Kline Kiln Breakfast in June.

My over priced Sand Castle is worth 5 times what I have in it and even if the market tanks I will still be enjoying it as I have no interest in selling. I also have no interest in paying $150,000 for something that I would get very little use of. But, thank you for sharing. My new Kreighoff K-80 Carrier Barrel Set gets used 3-4 times a week at the gun club 6 miles from my house. If I don't get into a partnership, then like I said, I will be flying with Frank Reiss to get some time on the water this season. My offer to pay your insurance if you added me as a Named Pilot and rented it to me from time to time, is still open.
