Thank you for the confidence booster.  :? 8-)

I lack the "B.A./ B.S. in a related field" which incidentally eliminates a large percentage of people with a feeling for aviation advocacy work.
Also, I am pretty much stuck in Europe for now. I could travel, but I think they would like someone more U.S. based.

Some years ago there were discussions within the SPA, which dreamed up a position like this upon creating a functional field director and volunteer network. A "Chief Field Director" of sorts who funnels and streamlines communication within a well functioning machine. A second in command, providing a liaison between members and leadership. A go to guy or gal that is always within reach and has every important player on speed dial. Seems like some of the ideas born years ago are now materializing within the Recreational Aviation Foundation.

For me in aviation, life is often about what grandmother kept repeating... "Cobbler, stick to your last".

Translated this means, one should not reach beyond their means. People need good shoes, too.

Not sure. I'd guess anywhere from $60-$75K with full benefits. Depends on how smart the successful applicant negotiates.
