Flew a DGA 15P(Howard Tonight)

Unread postby BGH » Wed Jun 03, 2015 12:07 am

My mechanic had to check out a plug problem on a Howard he's been working on lately(on 4930 floats) & when I asked if he wanted some company he said sure & let me have about .3 of stick time, heavier controls than the 185 & hunts a bit at lower speeds but it sure is a beautiful old girl & that radial sure sounded nice.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of this old lady here, Daryl.
Sad to see no other responses, but congrats on flying it!

Someday I will fly a radial - at least that's what I keep telling myself... Though who knows - we do have a Beaver at Surfside now (2 of them) and Baker's Beech 18 comes to Surfside pretty often.

The Howard has the 985 in it,the same engine as the beaver.

Not to worry Jason, didn't post the pictures until after I got home from the airport so it would of been quite last on the east coast & farther.
