Hope you heal fast Daryl,

Been there and done that (or should I say had that done to me!)

I had an electronic ignition installed on January 10th. Sped me up a little! (Pacemaker)

That is exactly what I have. Dupuytren's contracture. Have it in both hands and both feet, but only my right hand had gotten bad enough to need surgery, especially my pinky. My left hand will need it this coming year.

The surgeon that I found is supposed to be the best for Dupuytren's. I wish I had a picture of my hand right before surgery, my pinky was permanently at 90 degrees and lots of contracture through the rest of the hand. This guy makes two cut along existing life lines already in you hand, one horizontal and one almost vertical (see my lines) and then pulls back the skin and removes all the collagen, pulls back the skin flaps and then bandages it so that it heals from an open wound. NO STITCHES. No Real Bad Scares. The pinky was so bad that it did need a few stitches.

Here is what it looks like today. If you blow it up, you can see the fine scares left by the open wounding healing process. I have been really impressed with this guy.

I used to try to tuck my pinky behind my other fingers if I had to shake someone's hand, if not, many thought I was diddling them ! :elephant: No problem now and I can even pick my nose again!

I got to hand it to you Jason, you surgically removed the post. You just got your fingers into everything?

I surgically removed nothing. Tried to split the topic but obviously failed.

Sorry. This was the hand picture thread... I wanted to do well and give everyone a thread for hand pictures. But Daryl misunderstood and took his pictures down.

There were three posts on that other Seaplane Forum this morning. I was floored. Usually zero with occasionally one.

Not to worry Jason, thread drifted way off intended topic - it looked like a big distraction so I removed it.

I just got done emailing with one of the victims of that super special club. Holy cow!

Daryl, thread is fine now, the original Supporter thread is cleaned up. Now put your hand back on so that people get an idea. Blame is always on me, I am used to it.

Bob, you made me nosy and I went to the SPA forum.

Alex must have been drinking prior to posting.

SPA has collected more than 13000 Fans on Facebook. I am sure the board of directors is deeply impressed with all that winning performance.

Facebook is the future.

I read all the time where facebook friends are generated by bots. Some politicians even buy facebook friends.

Not just politicians. There are fake profiles everywhere and they all can be trained to like certain pages.

I just rendered co- administrator status on a Facebook page, which grew through less than honest ways.

Most reach on Facebook is paid and non organic. But, non organic growth is fake and if an association uses money on its social media channels, I claim that they are misusing membership dues. Its miserable stuff and members financing it have nobody else to blame.

Over the last 6 years I have spent exactly $20.00 of this forums money on an ad campaign. Never again. I can't very well be asking people to donate to this forum and then use the funds on the worlds most powerful, but also most stupid social network. Its for presence. Whoever sees or reads it, fine.

Facebook Fans are completely and utterly useless for any website, unless sales are generated directly through the page.

There is a multitude of ways to artificially inflate your fan count on Facebook. Unfortunately, some do it this way.

Right now our forum has been on Facebook for 7 years and it has collected 340 likes, none of which are purchased.
I barely do anything on either of the Facebook pages in terms of promotions. Everything you see is completely organic.

Every new article on http://www.seaplanemagazine.com is shared on Facebook and Twitter, but that's on Autopilot and pretty much it.

https://www.facebook.com/seaplaneforum/ 340 Likes
https://www.facebook.com/seaplanemagazine/ 400 Likes
https://www.facebook.com/gliderforum/ 650 Likes
https://www.facebook.com/aerobaticsforum/ 375 Likes

I do mention sponsors on these pages and/or use them to help boost the reach of advocacy topics or magazine articles.

SPA has got some very impressive numbers to show. More than 4000 members on its forum, 13K Fans on Facebook, probably close to 10K dues paying members, increasing by healthy chunks everyday. I am sure life is rosy and good in good old Lakeland and Winterhaven. Its always been good.
