I've had a multitude on inquiries on this aircraft, ever since our new "Featured Book Sponsor" Jake Morell came on the site.
Funky people in Europe would like to see and fly it, have it attend events - and finding a buyer would (just about now) not be a difficult task...

What is the difference between a C-47 and a C-53? Just seats verses cargo set up?

Thank you - Apparently the arctic versions were used to do transport back and forth from Greenland to Iceland during the War that came after the War to End all Wars!

I was asked less than two weeks ago if I knew the fate of this airplane. She is loved around the globe and if you follow Seaplanemagazine.com on Facebook, you can see that there are a TON of people who would love to see her fly and attend events.

Been running my ass off to make the bridge between the past, the present and the future - happen. Our industry lives and dies by how we connect the dots.

John Staber is the PERFECT example. He doesn't post here a lot because he may think that what he has to say isn't all that important. But I am the one who gets emails from Europe and Dubai, asking when his next series of articles on the Lake will come out.

There is a vacuum between the past and the future (#TheFutureOfWaterflying) <- Google it!

Dave Quam was is cool enough to send me 38 carefully compiled links to his video's he has created to preserve history. And I will feature them proudly, once a week, for almost tge rest of 2018. My readers will just have to put up with it!

Truth is:

Most will just love it!

We have work to do, before our industry is what "these old guys" worked so hard for and set out for it to be. I am lucky, because I am allowed to be part of this story.

Max's DC-3 was sitting up on the ramp at Greenville airport last September. The control surfaces were off and one engine like someone was working on it?
