Super video Glenn. How do you make the call whether to put the skis on or the tundra tires?

Is that the Maule that used to be outside? Who's plane is it? I am not sure I know the owner.

Like I said, I am not sure I know the owner or even which hanger it is in.

Funny, you both claim to be from there but neither knew the other? Down staters

Glenn, Unfortunately there is no real pilot lounge or meeting place at Warwick (though I tried to turn the board room into one with no real positive results). Most activity is on the weekends and I am there mostly on Monday's and Tuesdays. All but a few of the aircraft are in hangers. About the only guy that can be seen on a regular basis is Dave MacMillan, who recently had a stroke. For the three years I was on the board, I mostly knew the other board members, but once a year at the general meeting I would meet a few of the other members of the Warwick Pilots association, of which there are only 100 of us. Since I stopped hosting my fly in, the only other semi formal airport event is the annual Tenant Appreciation Day and the women's pilot association fly in breakfast. I doubt if there is more than a dozen of the tenants that I know by name and only a few that I would recognize away from the airport. Lt Bob know that I have the Brown and White C-172 N8834U in the Hangar behind Artie's.

All you needed to do was an N# search to see who this is. Robert Guhr

Thanks Glenn, but that still only gives me a last name. I still do not know him. Most of the time I do not even do an N number search as many planes, like all of mine are registered to independent LLCs. Hudson Valley Aviation, DBK Aviation, West Nyack Aviation, etc.

You should buy stock in that place. Will have to try it this season.

I am paying attention. You seem to go there quite often and I thought that there is an area to land seaplanes near by. If not my 172 should be fine in a field and if so, then with full fuel, the Sedan can make it.

You just proved your not paying attention. I never posted pictures of this evaporater. The ones I have posted in the past is 140 miles west of this back in Sharon NY. Sorry but we don't need a 172 or Sedan scaring the landowners, took us a long time to build trust with them.

This doesn't show the slope or sideslope, about one inch of slick grass on frost. Almost no control sliding sidways down hill.

I am glad that I did not keep it with the crack that was in the main spar. I have access to a 150 HP Citabria now.

Thought some Dick may have hacked into Glenns account. Glenn appeared to be a bit of a DICK in his last response to you, so I wondered.

I put a lot of time on that Champ and agree that it was a great short field performer, though in cruise, it was a dog. I got pretty good too at hand propping it when hot or cold. My biggest mistake was not buying out Dick in the Chief. That plane I miss. There is also a Champ with a C-85 locally that I can borrow when ever I want.

The day we put the planes away Gene had been trying for 2 hours to get it started at the dock. I said lets go get your plane started and he said it won't start and might have to tow it in. I said lets go try. Had it running in 5 minutes. Gota tell you Bob that plane never impressed me with performance getting off. It does ok but no hotrod. You need a J4, bring your checkbook next time. :cowwave:
