Now that is more like it Glenn. I knew there was a Travel Log of this weekend in there somewhere. What is the temperature there today? Weather Channel shows 26 F with a high of 33 F expected.

Less then 100' difference, I think we had an inversion and I drove out from under it. 17 and freezing rain at my place when I left. I liked the -6 better

Stay warm regardless. It rained here today too, but it was in the 40s. Supposed to hi 49 tomorrow, so off to the range for some shooting.

Glenn,

The guy said you hadn't sent him the check for it yet.

Bob

P.S. - The Sedan is in Annual and at least it was late enough that the full season is covered for 2018.

Me thinks the cat is out of the bag. Can someone confirm rumors that Bob has bought a Glasstar on Floats?
Doesn't matter if its true or not, as long as its on the internet, it must be true.

I am happy to confirm that, It Is Not True.

Some people have to learn that I am still working and my job requires me to work weekends. That typically means that I fly only during the week, usually on Monday's and Tuesdays and I either fly by myself or with a student. Also, though an Amphib would be OK being able to land on the runway down here (Seaplane Operations at Wickem Lake at the Airport were officially banned last year) I am not sure it would fit in my hanger. In any case the C-172 is more appropriate to the type of flying that I do down state and the Sedan will be just fine for what little time I will be able to get in it regardless of where it is kept. To go anywhere decent on floats I pretty much have to go up to the North Albany area or above and ii works out just fine for me to fly into Island Bob's in the 172, and then head off from there.

With only flying on a few days during the week, I would be hunting for restaurants that are open week days and be eating by myself.

These are some of the many reasons I prefer being in partnerships. My partner on the 172 I have known since he was 2 (he is not 50) and Don, the guy I am partnering with on the Sedan, was my partner for 6 years on the Chief and the one partner that I had absolutely NO problems with though over that time there were two other partners (1 at a time, never more than three in the deal) that I can not say the same about.

I must be getting old and not hearing what you say " again " Bob.
I must have dreamt that you said " we are selling the Sedan and buying something like a 182 on Amphips so that Don can fly all his stuff into Long Lake :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :trying:

Weird, I responded to this, but for some reason it did not post.

OK, so first, your E-mail with the listing said "You don't need a partner, write a check and buy this ......... "

Yes, Don would prefer to have an amphib and since it will be a partnership airplane, if we get to that it will be based up there and not at my hanger.

Nest, Don put the Sedan up for sale, but there was ZERO interest, so we talked about it and decided that, since the Sedan is now in annual through the end of next float season, this coming season, we will put it on floats and use it UNLESS more interest is experienced with the sale of the Sedan, but we are not holding our breath.

What we for sure will not do is buy an airplane without having at least a reasonably good prospect for the Sedan.

Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

And exactly how much flying are you doing these days Jason? I get in about 4-5 hours a week, just not on floats or skis. The only complaining I did was about the Sedan not getting its annual last season and complained about the person that was responsible for that problem.

Glenn,

I appreciate your trying to help. My priorities are a little different then yours. That being said, I found a guy who is going to check me out in his Sedan and who the insurance company is happy with and the Sedan (or its replacement if that can possibly happen), will be on floats and on the water as soon early as possible, I only wish now that it had been left on the floats and not put back on wheels. I want to make sure I line up (you can help me here) someone other than Dick the Dick to put it back on the floats. I can follow directions well and don't mind getting my hands dirty.
