External Camera Mounting

Unread postby RKittine » Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:22 pm

For those of us that have insurance and do not want to give the insurance company any ammunition to possibly deny a claim, has anyone gone through the Field Approval Process for the mounting of an external camera? I never did if for the Champ, but I see there has been more press about this and the regs now seem to say if you need a tool to remove it, it is not really a temporary installation and needs a field approval. I am making mounts like Glenn suggested, but using wing nuts to secure so no screw driver or anything else would be needed to remove it.
