14 CFR 61.15 says that doing such things is grounds for removing a certificate. However, the FAA just relies on the medical as a mechanism for checking. They don't cross-check everyone who holds a pilot certificate against driver records. An egregious event such as this might set the wheels in motion for just such a change.
