Cheryl Chee Tsutsumi wrote this article for the Star-Advertiser of Oahu, HI. on one of the greatest Seaplane Operators.

Pat and Debbie Magie partners in Island Seaplane Service

During his 55-year career as a seaplane pilot, Pat Magie has flown hunters, fishermen and freight of all kinds (even a full-grown grizzly bear) in wilderness regions in Minnesota, Alaska, Florida, Canada, Southeast Asia, the Arctic and the Caribbean. He has also piloted numerous medevac flights, sometimes at night in adverse weather conditions and over unfamiliar lakes with no lighting.

Anyone have any firsthand experience with Pat? Anyone here ever flew for him in Hawaii?

I haven't talked to Pat in years. We have worked together at a number of air-taxis in Southeast Alaska. We've always worked well together but, I never worked for him. If he called me to do a job I wouldn't hesitate. Most of the pilots that work for him usually stick around for a while, that's always a good sign.
