Wish there was more like John Staber!

Unread postby jjbaker » Fri Jan 05, 2018 8:45 am

Hey Folks,

I have been blessed with a great number of guest editors who have helped to attract a LOT of people onto Seaplanemagazine.com

John has written some awesome stories and provided an unmatched level of information about what we now know and fly as Lake Amphibian's.

His last series was a number of four articles telling about his experiences during the time when there was a Colonial Aircraft Corporation.

John holds the Senior Super XXL Turbo Guest Editor award for the most popular and expansive series of articles available on Seaplanemag today...

Even articles written in our first year are still found and carefully read today, as two Canadian friends just inquired on Robert Kittine's Aeronca door article.

Getting involved is very simple!

I really enjoy chatting with John. He has come to one of my Fly Ins, I have been to the Breakfast at his home base, and one of the things on my Bucket List is to get a hour or so of dual in his Wonderfully Restored Skimmer.

Thats on my bucket list, too. But so is flying with you (the whole works, IPC/ME/BFR/Instrument Currency, then on to Glenn to learn how to mistreat an airplane tailwheel, before following an invite to CA for some offered free time, then on to BC to fly with Daryl, up to AK to get drunk and lay under a table with Klaus Marx (beer tokens gone) and then it would be cool to head to all the other people who tell me to write nice articles about their planes, companies or products...

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that both our heads won't fit in the same airplane at the same time :cowwave:

Not worried at all. Glenns head is bigger than mine and he would not recognize me anyways.

I stood next to him in Greenville once and he looked right through me.

It's Klinekill Bob, how are you going to find a place that plows half the runway if you can't even remember it's name?

Glenn, considering your mood with me at the time, we may have started a slapping contest. Instead I ended up having my picture taken with a professional event clown.

At least you're not one of the pussies who run off when someone brushes you the wrong way.

You've always been able to look beyond the personal issues and kept the bigger picture in sight. You might have a sincere dislike for me, but you stay loyal to the forum and support it...

Lets hash it out in Greenville this year!
If you win, you get to run Seaplaneforum.com and show me how to do my job right.

I confuse the airport with the trout stream, but the identifier is in my brain and my GPS. I assume from the post, that they plow half and leave half for skis. Nice. Does Dick the Dick do that too? I know he plows, but was not sure if he only does half, not that I have any intention of going there.

Klinekill identifier is a tough one to remember so maybe I can help you remember it. You live in NY and the 1 place that you want to visit is NY1

Argyle plows the whole thing
