70 Year Old Seaplane Business Under Fire

Unread postby jjbaker » Wed Aug 23, 2017 8:54 am

Very unfortunate developments since I last dealt with this.
Time runs out on 8/28/2017 when there is a hearing. Until then, letters & emails can be sent.

I answered the call some time ago and sent my comments in written form. Even within the flying community, we are a minority and treated with impunity. No wonder we have problems with the Non-Flying Majority. Kind of sounds a little like some of our political issues these days. We are getting a little taste of what other minorities have had for a lot longer time.

At my age, I have lived through what maybe can be called the Good Days of aviation and fear mostly for those young aviators that come after me.

Plenty of NIMBYers over Nuclear Energy, Wind Energy, affordable housing and a vast list of other things. I am sure that some of us are NIMBYers on certain topics that we individually believe in or are against.

Once Facebook gets approved as an official outlet for advocacy related issues, we'll be golden. The putz is out in full swing. Higly embarrassing moment for all...

I think the most important words for all to learn is a new term that is used for seaplanes, out there:

"Frankenstein Monsters"...

All in all a super great show and lots of winning.

We need a "Clear of All Invasive Species" Decal for the planes.
